This is the third attempt at a television series based on the 1999 film Cruel Intentions
Story
After a nightmarish encounter at an elite boarding school, siblings Caroline and Lucien set out to maintain their power and fame by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), which starred Amy Adams as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being re-edited into a feature film. Gellar later reprised her role as Kathryn in the 2016 NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
Follows Cruel Intentions (1999)
Who threw this? What were they wearing?! Lucien looks like a 12-year-old muppet found at a thrift store.
In fact, he’s unbearable
No 20-year-old would find him attractive or irresistible. The girl playing the VP’s daughter is not very convincing. Terrible acting.
Maybe that would appeal to a younger audience, not compare it to the movie
Terrible writing. Terrible casting. I don’t think they should have called this “Cruel Intentions” or used the names of the characters in the movie.
