Story
A man takes his wife and their teenage children on a road trip down memory lane in the face of a divorce. Writer/director Florent Bernard watched a lot of movies about parents’ separation and realized that they were either comedies or dramas, few of which were. . Furthermore, it was always shown from the parents’ point of view, never from the children’s point of view, so he wanted to address this subject by making a bittersweet comedy with nostalgia and funny scenes, while also involving the children in the story. During the breakfast scene at the beginning of the film, Sandrine’s children look at their bowl of cereal in front of them in one shot, then suddenly at their mother, who is off to the side in the next shot..
