Story
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. It is loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup. I refused to watch this due to the lack of common sense in most TV shows these days.
Likeable characters and light entertainment
But I’m glad I tried it. These are 30-minute episodes that are silly, cheesy, funny, dramatic, and engaging. I watched all 6 episodes and can’t wait for season 2.
The French soundtrack is also captivating
Some cliffhangers to end the series nicely. I recommend watching it, and it’s a perfect runtime that fits perfectly into a half-hour show. Any more and it would have dragged on.
